Frameless stencil printing table

For printing solder paste onto PCBs before assembly — R&D prototyping, repair and rework, and small-batch SMT production.

Frameless stencil printing table: a PCB clamped on the spring-loaded sled, with the locating jigs shown alongside
  • The stencil lifts evenly after each print — less smearing on the board.
  • Upgraded spring-loaded PCB sled: the foil rises cleanly after the squeegee pass instead of dragging across the pads.
  • Multiple locating jigs — free positioning for different PCB sizes.

Capability

From Gerber file to packed stencil

Every stencil is cut, tensioned and packed in our own workshop. These are photographs of the actual floor — not stock images.

  • Fiber laser cutting of stainless foil
  • Framing and mesh tensioning in-house
  • Electropolishing and nano coating
  • Aperture inspection under magnification
  • BGA reballing and IGBT stencils
  • Cleaning, packing and export shipping

Tell us the board you are printing and we will tell you which stencil it needs — even if that means sending you a thinner spec than you asked for.

Frame size

Stencils mount into the printer on a frame. Common sizes are 584 × 584, 550 × 650 and 736 × 736 mm, plus the 400 mm-wide series from 400 × 600 up to 400 × 1500 mm. Which one you need depends on your printer model and the largest board you run.

Foil thickness

Thinner foil deposits less solder paste. Values run from around 0.08 mm for fine-pitch work up to 0.30 mm for large through-hole joints. 0.12 mm is a common starting point for mixed boards.

Aperture and area ratio

Apertures are the openings the paste passes through. As a rule of thumb, the opening area should be at least two thirds of the aperture wall area, or paste will not release cleanly. This is what limits how fine a pitch a given foil thickness can print.

FAQ

Common questions

What file do you need to make a stencil?

Gerber (RS-274X), ODB++ or your CAD output. If you only have a PDF or a drawing, send it anyway and we will tell you what else is needed. For repeat orders we keep your file on record, so you only need your previous order number.

How fast can you ship?

48-hour and 24-hour production carry no surcharge — we confirm against that day's schedule. Same-day 2-hour emergency dispatch is +20%. Tell us your deadline when you enquire and we will confirm before you commit.

Do you ship to my country?

We ship internationally by express courier. Freight is quoted together with your order so you see the full cost before paying, and we provide a tracking number once it is dispatched.

How do I pay?

We confirm the specifications and the freight first, then agree on payment with you. We accept PayPal (card or PayPal balance) and bank transfer (T/T) — for T/T we issue a proforma invoice with our bank details. Tell us what suits you and we will work it out.

Can I reorder the same stencil later?

Yes. Message us with your previous order number — we keep your file on record, so there is no setup work to redo and nothing to re-explain.

Which stencil type should I choose?

Framed stencils are ready to drop into an automatic printer. Frameless foil costs less and suits prototyping. Step stencils handle boards that mix fine-pitch and through-hole parts. If you are not sure, send us the board details and we will advise.

Which file formats do you accept?

Gerber RS-274X is the usual one, and ODB++ works too. What we need is the solder paste layer — in most exports that is GTP for the top side and GBP for the bottom, and some tools name the files .gtp, .gbp or .gbr. If you are not sure which file is which, send the whole export as a ZIP together with the board name and we will pick the right layer.

Which foil thickness do I need?

It follows the smallest feature on your board. As a rough guide: mixed boards with standard SMD parts usually start at 0.12 mm; parts around 0.4 mm pitch and below often go to 0.10 mm; the finest work goes down to 0.08 mm. If the board also has large through-hole joints that need more paste, that is what step stencils are for. Tell us the smallest part and its pitch and we will say which thickness suits it.
